  • Residency Details

    This residency scholarship includes the full residency fee of 925 for a two-week session, June 8-20, 2020, plus 75 dollars for supplies.

    Residents are provided 24-hour access to the shared studios, and private housing in an individual guest house (with a kitchen). Food and travel expenses are not covered by this scholarship. The studio includes basic supplies such as newsprint, rags, and non-toxic solvents. Artists should bring their own plates, paper and supplies for specific projects.

    Two-week residencies start on a Monday (check-in is Sunday 4-6pm) and end on a Saturday (check out is Sunday 10am)

  • Scholarship Application Details

    Both regular and student members of CBAA are welcome to apply. In Cahoots Residency is designed for people who have prior experience in art. A portfolio of 8-10 images of artwork is required for the application. You must be 18 years or older to apply. With a focus on community and inclusion, we welcome adult artists of all ethnicities, religions, ages, physical abilities, gender, financial status and educational backgrounds. For artists who choose to apply as a collaborative team, each artist should complete a separate entry form with all required information, and make a clear note on the application that you are applying as a team. For this scholarship, collaborative teams with be provided shared housing.

    There is a $25 application fee, payable upon completion of the form.

    Notification of acceptance/denial will be sent out 4-6 weeks after the deadline.

    Notes on deposit: If accepted, a 200 dollar holding deposit is due at the time of confirmation to hold your dates. If you choose to cancel your residency session, this deposit will be forfeited. Upon arrival, this deposit will act as your security deposit and will be returned to you at the end of your residency stay, minus any damages.
