About this print:
"Surrounded" is a mezzotint by Devon Stackonis created in Poland in 2024, during her Fulbright research fellowship. This print is part of a series that considers abandoned Polish water towers in Silesia as witnesses to extreme regional flooding, effects of heavy industrialization and climate change, and as visual metaphors for our collective loss of elemental control.
