About this print:
Hand-sewn with thread and paper, this piece is part of an ongoing collection of works that explore the possibilities of thread— visually, conceptually, and beyond. Throughout history, threads have enabled us to survive-- to catch, carry, wrap, warm and mend. In fact, very few days pass in our lives, if any at all, in which we don't touch some kind of thread or textile. The ubiquity of threads and textiles can cause us to overlook their innate beauty. These thread works invite you to see and celebrate thread. This particular piece is part of the Myth Series, which explores the role thread and fiber plays in myths, fairy tales, and lore.
